Cask at the Earl of Essex, 22/10/14. Very lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white head that retains. Nose is earthy, bitter fruit, musty tones, toffee. Taste comprises toffee apple, light spice, musty linger. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter wash. Rather twiggy - no thanks!

Bottle from Hop Pole Brewery Shop, consumed in Frank (camper) at Bell Inn campsite, Purton, Friday 4th July 2014 There is quite a big white head, bit sticky, a little hazy with a dirty gold appearance. Steady citrus flavours, hoppy and bitter, nice carbonation. Some curly orange and lemon combine well. Really, really nice. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

500ml bottle from Ludlow Food Festival. Has a lovely fluffy white head. Taste is basically a massive slanging match between bitter hops and fruity malts, with bitterness taking a narrow lead towards the end. Very nice indeed.
