Hazy golden and bright copper coloured body with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall off-white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves nothing on top after a few seconds. Aroma of pungent limes, brine, malt, grain and a good yeastie quality with some herbal and floral elements, but the salty components and especially the citrus and lime notes are by far the strongest - in a good way. Medium-bodied; Strong rich malty, pungent and yeastie notes with a lot of brine and salty notes that provide a refreshing quality with a lot of citrus balance and crisp, soured, tart and deep limey notes that have a great dichotomy with the soured and tart fruit notes wedging up nicely with the salty, briney notes. Aftertaste is rich, robust and relatively strong, especially for the style and the alcohol content - the fruity and soured notes are the strongest, in a great way. Overall, a very nice and strong, soured and rich beer that has a great salty bite as well, but the balance is almost flawless and the lactose adds to the body in a nice way. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 10-July-2020 for US$5,30 sampled at my house here in Washington on 22-October-2020 on the evening of the last presidential debate of the 2020 Election Season.

Sampled at Snallygaster 2019. Poured a cloudy, dark yellow-orange with a small white head. Aroma was kind of strange. Kind of a funky weird tart and herbal character here. A little boozy. Okay.
