12oz can from Total Wine Mclean. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Aroma was big roasted malts, big chocolate with a slightly muted, cold brew coffee. Flavor was roast, very bitter, dark chocolate. Big, but very drinkable, and easy to drink.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours an opaque black color with dark mahogany highlights and with a thick tan head and great retention. Good lacing too. Roasted dark malt aroma. The flavor matches the aroma. Dark roasted malt flavor a hint of dark coffee in the finish. Not nearly as coffee-dominant as I was expecting. More porter flavor than coffee. Low carbonation and low bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Well done and enjoyable.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thick, but very fast-dying tan and light brown head that finishes at just a single centimetre tall. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, oatmeal, a bit of grain and some softer brown sugar and slight peaty notes with a lot of malt here and some vanilla as well as cream on the finish. Medium-bodied; Relatively strong molasses and caramelised sugar flavours show first with a big kick of vanilla, cream and even nuts here, along with some pitted fruit sweetness that shows nicely, especially at the end once the malts are gone. Aftertaste is smooth with the vanilla, oatmeal and slight graininess here, but the cream, milk and lactose elements help out and temper the finish without much bitterness at all, but the sweetness is still here as are the mellow earthiness. Overall, a nice and elegant beer with a good kick from the vanilla, cream and sugars and not much else from the pungency, alcohol or yeast here, but that's the way it should be. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Giant in Alexandria (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 08-October-2021 for US$1,99, packaged on 23-August-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 07-February-2022.
