Bottle 33 cl. Pours dark brown with a reddish tint with a beige head. Lovely oaky nose, quite some red wine. Medium body, lovely oak, red berries, more akin a Flemish Sour actually with it’s heavy funk. Nice. 161113

11oz bottle hazy dark brown with tons of foamy beige head. Nose is herbal, dark chocolate powder, dried malt, toasted bread, otherwise fairly mild. Flavor is better, malty, cracker, chocolate, herbs, black pepper, caramel, wood pulp, pencil lead. Dry, roasty, finish. Not a ton of barrel character.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown that is barely translucent with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of dark grains, chocolate and some dark fruits with a bit of underlying light fruit and barrel. Flavor has a bit more light fruit that combines interestingly with the Belgian spices/yeast, dark grains and light chocolate note.

11.2oz shorty grenade bottle. Deep cherry brown-black, thin oily head. Definite bourbon in the aroma, but rather delicate and not overwhelming. Nice and drinkable, but the bourbon sort of overwhelms the final product in some ways. Mellow sourness merges well with the bourbon tones. Refined and well-executed, but not really worth the pricetag.
