Pale ale, deceptively strong yet easy drinking. Citrus flavours dominate first then fading to a powerful bitter finish.

Cask at the Maypole. It pours hazy gold with with a small white head. The nose is earth, hay, apple, pear and candy. The taste is sweet pear, melon, apple, grain, light toast, spice, alcohol kick and wood. Medium body and soft carbonation. A bit sweet and the alcohol is pretty obvious for the abv. Sub-standard for Milton.

Cask at the Pembury Tavern. Pours clear gold with a light, white film. Nice hop aroma of grass, hay and faint grapefruit. Flavor is rather sweet, with meaty malts, toast, and some straw bitters. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and mild warmth. Finishes well balanced with some smoked meat, light honey malts and subtle, grassy hops. Quite a dynamic beer, really. Good stuff.

(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 28 Nov 2007) Copper colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with citrus and fresh notes of floral hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots and fresh, floral hops in the finish. Not very bitter. Malty alcohol sweetness shines through. On the sweet side, but still nice.
