Proof that traditional session beers don’t have to be bland. This light brown quaffing ale graces us with a hint of sweetness and caramel on the palate, with the dynamic duo of Challenger and Styrian Goldings hops imparting complimentary flavour, aroma and bitterness.

Smooth and malty-sweetish beginning. Highly drinkable. Nutty malt aroma, hints of fruit. Nicely smooth. The aftertaste is malty, fresh, hazelnuts with fruity hints. Not much bitterness. Great!!

Cask @ Lamb, Stoke Goldington. Pours a light brown. Not a lot of head. Malty, vinous smell. Dough, slight astringency, hint of something herby. Soft fruit and toffee. Taste is sweet with a tempering savoury/spicy flavour that lifts it a bit above the ’twiggy/ordinary brown bitter’. Bitterness in the palette. Pretty good, especially for the low ABV.
