Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Light haze on this amber beer, small white head. Palate is smooth but has just modest carbonation. Smooth semi sweet malts, little caramel. Mild orchard fruits, slightly ripe. Smooth finish. Tasty enough but has condition issues.

Smooth and malty-sweetish beginning. Highly drinkable. Nutty malt aroma, hints of fruit. Nicely smooth. The aftertaste is malty, fresh, hazelnuts with fruity hints. Not much bitterness. Great!!

Cask @ Lamb, Stoke Goldington. Pours a light brown. Not a lot of head. Malty, vinous smell. Dough, slight astringency, hint of something herby. Soft fruit and toffee. Taste is sweet with a tempering savoury/spicy flavour that lifts it a bit above the ’twiggy/ordinary brown bitter’. Bitterness in the palette. Pretty good, especially for the low ABV.
