Bottle 660ml.Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, coffee, dark malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light light acidic and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, dark malt, chocolate malt, fruity, light apple, wood notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110619]

A deep dark ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, sweet licorice, chocolate, lightly peaty notes. In mouth, a smooth old ale with chocolate, fruity esters, vanilla, quite nice. Bottle at Mondial 2011, June 9, 2011.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with a small light brown foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of black chocolate and caramelized marshmallow is quite unique and interesting. Taste is malt heavy with notes of lightly caramelized marshmallow with some black chocolate and some roasted malt. Body is about average with a light creamy texture with some good carbonation. Interesting beer that doesn’t really fit into one style in particular.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild alcohol, some coffee as well as mild notes of chocolate and slight sour wooden notes. Flavour is sweet fruity and malty with some roasted notes as well as mild liquorice and some slight alcohol.

70 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma is herbal, earthy and vegetable = yeasty, dark roasted malty too. Smooth roasted dark malt, sweet and caramelish. Light fruity. Mild vanilla. Smooth malty and toffee to breadish dark malty finish.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, caramel, and soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, soy sauce, malt, and dried fruits as well as lighter notes of prunes, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 70 cl. Courtesy of of madmitch76. Pours black with a vague reddish hue and a small and rough off-white head. Very sophisticated aroma of dark, dried fruits and ashy roast. Solid body, sweet vanilla roast, pruney, raisins, overripe dark fruits, licorice, slightly ashy. Some warming alcohol in the finish. Very delicious. 170611
