We ventured into unfamiliar territory to create an IPA to fit our style. An intense floral nose, firm balanced flavor and long hoppy finish make Rocky Mountain IPA our very own.

This pours from 12oz bottle a clear gold with lots of bubbles and a huge billowy head of foam with lots of lacing.
The smell is hoppy with big grapefruit and floral notes
The taste has loads of floral hops up front with a very good malty flavour lingering in the background. At times, the hops impart a really bitter flavour, at other times the malt somewhat balances out the hops..strange. Strange but very tasty. It finishes bitter, the mouthfeel is light and the carbo, well, it's less noticeable in the taste than I expected. Must be the Sam Adams glass working its magic on the initial pour. ;^)
I'm close to finishing my glass and all the flavours seemed to have mellowed some but in a good way. Pretty drinkable and certainly a better IPA than some I've tried.
Note to self: Get a Growler next time I'm in Ft Collins. The draft version is better on all counts.

12oz bottle. Filtered copper-orange bay. Big, frothy off-white head. The aroma is pleasant, mild lemon and grapefruit tones. An enjoyable IPA, a touch antiquated for 2015. Kind of a classic quality US example. Some English tendencies, but with a respectably bold hop profile too. OK.

[Thanks to Plovmand]. Hazy orangish colour with a frothy and creamy off-white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of pine, resins and light caramel. Flavor is strong bittery with orange and light citrus notes, moderate malty with slightly caramel. Strong bittery final with a dry mouthfeel.
