The first brew produced by Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co.
Kentucky Ale® is described as a marriage between two classic beer styles, Irish Red Ale and English Pale Ale. With a light amber color, Kentucky Ale owes its body and character to select imported malts and a pinch of wheat malt for a rich, smooth taste.
Light amber in color, Kentucky Ale owes its unique body and character to select imported malts and a pinch of wheat malt for a rich, smooth taste.
The unique body and character of Kentucky Ale is heavily influenced by the water, drawn from aquifers in the limestone rock underlying the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky.

Bottle. Had it on draft at the Keeneland Racetrack. Nice copper, amber color. Wellbalanced with a mild hop and nutty malt flavor. Not much head and no lace.

Old rating found back on paper, unsure of what year I've had (or had this one). Pours clear amber, small white head. Scent is full, buttery bourbon. Taste is full, tad bitter, intense bourbon, sweet, beer is a bit lost, but the endresult remains fairly nice.

Bottle many times. Pours a clear amber with a finger of white foam. Light toffee nose with some grain notes. Thinner than expected on the palate. Clean and easy drinking. Slightly sweet finish.

On tap. Pours a copper color with light head that dissipates quickly. Basically a malty offering with doughy buttery flavors plus a good dose of DMS - maybe lines? Not too good.
