Cask. Deep reddish brown colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is nutty, some berries, fruits, mild yeast as well as some mild toffee. Flavour is berries, some nutty, mild toffeeish as well as some wooden and mild resiny notes to it. Balanced and quite pleasant. Not all too christmassy beer though.

Cask at the Shakespeares Head, Holborn, 30/12/13. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a good sized off white covering that retains well, good lacing ensues. Nose is floral, light spice, marzipan, orchard fruit, faint caramel. Taste comprises berry fruits, bread dough, winter cheer, spices. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish with light spice. Ok Christmas effort.

Pigs Ear Festival. Clear broen beer, no real head. Light palate, low carbonation. Semi dry tangy malt with a whisper of smoke. Quite bitterish hop, orangey, balances things out. Dry finish. Bitter aftertaste. Not bad.
