(Bottle, 2019 vintage) Reddish brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, caramel, bread, chocolate, figs, nuts, cinnamon and honey. Malty, fruity taste with notes of fruit cake, chocolate, dried figs, honey pecan nuts, cinnamon, ripe banana and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite sweet. Tasty and well balanced with a good Belgian yeast character. Nice one.

Unusual mild stuff from my Italian favorites Clear dark brown pour and a fine head. Looks ok Quite moderate intensity in the aroma Mellow sweetness and fine carbonation level Easy to drink Dark malt, mild fruity, some chocolate and some caramel malt in the flavor [Bottle from Vinmonopolet at Hasle Torg in Oslo, Norway]

Taster at Il Fermento, Bellinzona. Lightly cloudy, copper colored. AROMA- liqueur, cherry, sour cherry in chocolate. FLAVOR- a bit sweet, slightly bitter, simply sour cherry in chocolate. Fuller bodied. Tasty.

750 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.5%. Deep mahogany colour, small beige head. Moderate aroma of lightly roasted malts, chocolate / cocoa and mild coffee. Flavour with the same elements, more distinct cocoa now, but the beer is not very sweet.

Flaska från SB, något år gammal. Mörk kastanjebrun med moccafärgad krona. Rostade och nötiga toner, lätt kryddigt, toner som drar åt lakrits och menthol, råg, bränt socker och kaffe. Snygg chokladton ligger som en botten genom hela ölen.

Deep red with a minimal head. Aroma of fruits, caramel, spices and wooden barrel. Sweet with a fruit, caramel and some alc. Finnish. Got the Christmas feel to it. Not bad, but not exceptional either. Calendar from wife, 2019.
