Tried at a pub in Bourne. Deep ruby colour with a thin head. Aroma has dark fruits. The taste has fruit, caramel and pine.

Cask (Isis, Sunderland) - Dark brown with red tinges. Roasted malt, cocoa and dried fruit in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with notes of raisins, caramel, cocoa and roasted malt.

Cask @ Puzzle Hall Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Very dark red (almost brown looking) with a creamy head. Has a small sweet aroma with some very light citric notes in its taste.

Cask at the Watford Beer Festival 2013. Clear a dark ruby with a thin off-white head. Aroma of port, berries and hay. Dark fruit flavours with some brown sugar and pine needles. Finish was molasses, bitter resin and some toasted malt.

Cask at Watford beer festival, Herts. A ruby red coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, malty, caramel. Quite drinkable.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2013.rich ruby red colour loose cream head. Aroma is black tea, green hop, caramel. Flavour follows, some toffe and blackberry. Decent condition.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has strong notes of malt, as well as medium notes of caramel and nuts, and light notes of butterscotch. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and butterscotch, leading to a dry finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is heavy to moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100805]

On gravity at the Tewkesbury Beer festival, 4/02/2011. Reddish amber in colour with a slight white head. Sweet malts and marmalade aroma. Flavour was similar, with plenty of fruit and some roastiness in the finish. Fine.

Clear brown beer, no head. No carbonation. Light semi dry palate. Some sourish malt - that’s just about it!
