Shared bottle at local tasting. Black colour, moderate beige head. Dryish roasty aroma, hints of old leather and bacon. Dry and roasty flavour too, notes of bacon and smoke. Did not blow my socks off this one.

Draught at Stofan, Reykjavik, apparently 6.5% ABV
Black color with generous head. Light aroma of roasted malt, metallic. Smooth mouthfeel; plain roasted malt flavor, not ashy, with a light lactose touch that contributes to the balance; correct bitterness; but the final is metallic.
Monodimensional, not bad but plain.

Dark brown, rich meaty aroma, toffeeish, slightly burnt and earthy. Pretty good, actually.

Poured from a bottle at sunset in a beautiful and remote spot in Iceland. Creamy head. Low carbonation. Very well balanced with a mild roasted malt flavor and a hit of hops in the finish. Overall a very enjoyable beer.

Bottle @ hotel room, Reykjavik. Deep brown/black appearance with a tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly. A little smoky, anise, dark fruity, chocolate aroma. Rich dark cacao, espresso, chewy anise, lightly burnt/smoky flavor. Nice brew.
