From gravity cask at Charlies (while closed for techincal maintenance). Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy and floral fruity. Citrusy, grassy and solid bitter flavoured. Bone dry and bitter finish. Lasting solid bitterness really.

Cask gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival 04.02.11 Pours gold with good clarity a lovely white bubbly head atop. Soft scented hoppy nose, surprisingly hoppy in the mouth its also fruity. I like this and the English hop does a very good job here when there are some fancier foreign hop stars in the room, its the beery equivalent of Messi, Ronaldinho and Torres coming up against a no nonsense unheralded but quality English player it doesn’t have to be a striker so lets say Stuart Pearce. Really enjoyed this and would have to say along with Shadowplay amongst the two or three favourites of the festival. A7 A5 T8 P5 Ov16 4.1
