Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep brown with no head and virtually no carbonation. Nose - strawberry and molasses. Taste - sweet malt and red fruit again. Palate - sweet and close to medium bodied. Cloying and lacking in freshness. Overall - a bit sweet and flat. Not what I was expecting.

4/10/2018. Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a quite attractive deep amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, rotting fruit, rusty nails and cough drops. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Label says it's a beer for the serious beer lover. Don't think so.

500ml bottle from 'Beers of Europe': BBE Aug 2018, just read the first four ratings of this, hope I think it's better than those guys. Anyway, this is a 'live tasting' with myself, no sharing. 4th Nov 2017, at home, bottle poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard, my current favourite tasting glass for UK beers. No gushing from my bottle, just a Mahogany coloured, Teak red bodied beer with no head. Wild red berries in the semi-sour aroma, malty and fruity taste, again red berries come to mind, but also semi-sour, as if the beer is 'on the turn' or like a young 'Flanders Red' without the alcohol kick. Got a feeling this might rush out my bottom in the morning as it's infected or just plain 'off'. I hate throwing beer away, but over half of this is going to be a drain pour.

Bottle at home, clearing the rot box pre house move, 24/08/16 ... very light gusher. Chestnut brown with reddish hues when held to the light topped with a cap of frotyh beige bubbles. Nose is earthy, biscuit, toffee, grains, dirt, plastic, bitter fruit, light cocoa. Taste comprises toffee, gravy, twiggy, dark fruit rinds, light spice. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation, drying close. Garbage ... infected rot ... Good % down the train and to the Thames!

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark amber, no head, low carbonation. Aromas of stewed apples and toffee malt. Taste is sweet, watery, thin. Wish I’d taken this to a tasting to share the pain. In the end, the drain had it awa’.

50cl bottle from the Home Brew Shop, Aldershot. As usual with Fallen Angel this poured cloudy, even with careful handling; the colour is amber with a billowing white head; yeasty aroma; yeasty flavour with some sour fruit; and some toffee towards the finish. Not very pleasant.
