Bottle from Asda as Amber Bitter. Pale amber in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Easy drinking bitter, with some caramel, cereal malts, a touch of hedgerow hop and moderately bitter finish. A solid product and good value.

Lichtbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig en licht zoet met iets van geroosterd brood. Redelijk bier, niet bijzonder.

Bottle at home. A typical English bitter, with suble malt and bitter hops. Perhaps a bit too subtle, but this has a nice low ABV and it can be forgiven. Overall a good session beer, but nothing to make it stand out.

Bottle at home. Surprised by how much like a lager it tasted, very metallic and generally meh.

Bottle: Clear, amber, with a clear-white/soapy head. Watery caramel, hay scent. Taste is fairly weak and washed out, but not bad.....toffee malt, grain malt, grass. A slight yeastiness. Bland, overall....but it would be a great session beer for sitting too long at the pub with....

Bottle. Barley toffee malt and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet barley, toffee malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay/light wine flavor. Body on the light side. Seems a little underattenuated but okay.

Cask at the Crumpled Horse, Upminster. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light smooth grainy malt, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

50cl bottle from Morrison’s, Bracknell. An amber pour with no head but light carbonation; caramel malt aroma; fizzy in the mouth with a caramel taste; nd then a lightly astringent finish. Rather poor.

50cl bottle from Aldi. Pours amber with a rapidly fading white head; light biscuity aroma; typical stewed malt flavour of an over-pasteurised beer; some more dry biscuit to finish. Actually quite pleasant.
