Quite a dark brown colour, almost black with a tad copper-ruby highlights. Warm mocha-coloured frothy head with decent retention and just a light bubbly ring is left. Very peppery nose over the roasted, chocolate malts with a touch of smokiness. The mouthfeel is thinner than expected. Some dryness appears in the finish. Roasted barley base with the hot peppers lingering with a building heat. Quite interesting on a cold night, as a spicy-heat winter warmer.
