Cask at Wellington Arms, half pint shared with Finn. A deep ruby shade to a brownish coloured body, naked at the top, dotted spots on the glass. Dark malt-fruity nose, lightly roasted. Mixed taste of toffee and dried fruits. Smooth finish with fair bitterness to it. Clean in the mouth. Okay bitter version. (Bedford 18.11.2021).

Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun. Skumring med litt farge. God karamellaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken floral. En del karamell. Tørr syrlig bitter avslutning.

Cask at the Pilgrims Progress (JDW), Bedford. Copper with a thin white head. Nice natural carbonation. Light aroma of crystal malt, pear drops. I wasn’t prepared for the astringency of the taste: a sour-sweetness, heavy and intense for the ABV. Nice full body and the natural carbonation is spot on. I’ve had this before & not cared for it, but tonight it’s spot on.

Cast at GBBF 2010. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has sharp notes of spicy hops combined with light notes of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish. I think it is a bit off.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Brown with hints of red. Thin white head. Some rich biscuit, some fruit in mouth. It’s quite decent. Like most B&T beers, well made. Fruity and biscuit is good.
