Can (5/21/24) shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Opaque dark brown, light viscosity, no head, lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon, earthy, roasted malt. Taste is strong bourbon, sweet malts, sugar. Smooth texture, relatively thin texture, no alcohol, sweet finish. Appreciate the bourbon but seems to be at the expense of everything else. Disappointing.

16 oz can shared by Clarkvv. Aroma is bourbon and nothing more. Can’t find peanut butter any place not in the aroma or flavor. The body is really thin. No texture at all. With a short bourbon finish. What the hell happened to this series???

Canned 5/21/24, drunk 6/15/25.
Clear. Dark. Small, light tan ring of bubbles.
Sweet bourbon in the nose is a nice break from all the natural flavors. Hint of peanut butter but very light. Clean and no booze. Not super malty, but not sweet.
Woah. Kind of a lot sweeter than expected...more peanut butter and round chocolate in flavor. Bourbon acidity. But there's a raw sugar on the end that is off-putting. Thin and with little beer character. Hmmm....what's going on with AleSmith?!

Thanks Clark, aroma is bourbon. Taste is only sweet bourbon and raw sugar on the finish. Thin body. Meh.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is full of big bourbon barrels, plenty of peanut butter, and a touch of cocoa nibs in wonderful cohesion. Flavour is rich and surprisingly elegant for a BA peanut butter beer, but count on AleSmith to do it right. There are rich notes of bourbon, peanut butter, sugars, and a little chocolate. On the sweeter side for an AleSmith BA beer, but far from cloying. The peanut butter character is not artificial whatsoever, and the bourbon presence is very satisfying. Excellent.
