A strong, dark brown beer, offering a dominantly malty palate with nutty overtones. The finish is lyrically sweet that speaks for its strength. A fine partner to the Cheese Board.

'Mad Friday' 2025 Beer#11. Eleventh brew on one of the busiest drinking days of the year. Reddish clear brown easy enough porter with a blast of sweetish chocolate in taste, and fairly smooth too.

Seasonal beer on Christmas Party night, it's a relatively decent 'winter warmer' - certainly looks the part, dark chestnut brown with a creamy tan head and a sweet fruit pudding aroma. Medium bodied, but not overly creamy, there's plenty of fruit and malt, maybe a little hint of spice in the dry and very slightly bitter finish.

On cask at the Standing Order. Appearance - deep brown to black with brown chinks. Neat fawn head. Nose - honey , prunes and getting into molasses. Taste - more prunes, stewed apples. Burnt toffee. Palate - medium bodied, sweet while being tangy and dry in places. Overall - good gear.

Cask at William Jolle (Spoons), Northwood Hills. A dark brown/ruby coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Malty, caramel, dark fruit aroma. Tastes the same, malty, caramel, dark fruit, slightly nutty (like me). One of the better UK festive brews available.
