Belgian Style - Strong Ale Regular
Score
6.64
ABV: 10.8% IBU: - Ticks: 32
With it's 10,8% abv the Vinkenier might be the strongest bier in our portfolio, it's also the beer with the softest taste.
A good description would be: smooth, finely hopped with a soft smooth aftertase.
Vinkenier is without any doubt the most drinkable beer of our brewery.

Vinkenier is brewed with pilsner malt and a firm dosage of munich malt. This in order to achieve a natural light amber colour.
Thanks to the full malt brews the beer gets its full body, round character.
Because of the mild saturation the beer also gets a nice drinkable touch which one can enjoy for a long time.

Medium off-white head, fast gone over cloudy amberish ochre beer. Sourish, volatile sulphur, meaty esters, coloured malts, vegetables. Malts, coloured malts and herb, spices.... for? Serious sweetness is malty but also honeyish. No acidity in the mouth, but quite some yeast esters. Quite burning MF, with more carbonation than visible. Some alcoholthinning, making it too sweet by half for a 'tripel', and too thin for a barley wine. Meeeehh. Gives the impression of adjuncts added to cover other things. Thanks to Barbara & Tim!

Way too sweet. Some florals, and lots of clove. Too much clove. Pours golden with ok head and lacing. Very sweet, unbalanced. Bottle.

Sampled draft @ Moderste 2016. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is dull grainy, plastic, metallic. Taste is dull, bland, metallic grains, unpleasant plaster, bland, grain, weak bro. Bland, sugar, grain. Earlier Rating: 11/9/2013 Total Score: 3.433 cl. bottle split by 2 @ Rampkrot. Shared cost & picked up @ Bar Oud Postje. BBF 25/02/2012. Pretty odd label. Hazy orange, amber with a creamy faintly off-white head. Nose is bitter zest, huge yeast, esters, bitter, touch soap, hoppy, slightly medicinal,… Taste is bitter peel followed by very heavy sweetness of marmalade, candy sugar in huge amount, caramel, BE yeast, faint esters, light grass, boozy, biscuit, touch brown & alternative grains, slightly body. Very thick biscuit malts, okay brew but a bit too pressing on the sweetness for me in a very BE fashion.

Bottle. pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is sweet, bit malt. Taste is bit bitter, over a very sweet ( bit malty, some yeast ) basic beer. Some aromatic yeastyness in the aftzertaste. Not terrible at all, just very damn simple, sugary, and overly yeasty belgian Tripel. Earlier Rating: 11/9/2013 Total Score: 3.8Bottle at rampkrot Pours fuzzy blonde . Big but fast fading white head Smell has fruits going on , with some hoppyness ( faded ) Taste is syrupy sweet , very sweet . Belgians try-to-be-barleywine ? Ok

Lichtbruin bier zonder schuim. Smaak is erg krachtig en kruidig, licht zoet met iets van sinaasappel, kaneel en gember. Blijft erg lang hangen. Geen bier wat je snel weg drinkt maar rustig van moet genieten.
