PINTA Imperium Atakuje (Empire Strikes) - full of hops, strong representative of Imperial India Pale Ale. Astonishing, uncompromising! Powerful beer loaded with best quality malts and hops. Imperialism of PINTA in its' finest and very first Double IPA ever brewed in Poland. Intensively dry-hopped whilst second part of fermentation process.

Barwa ciemny bursztyn. W aromacie przede wszystkim Ameryka - cytrusy, tropiki. Na drugim planie podstawa słodowa. W smaku porządna dawka słodyczy skontrowana dość wysoką goryczką. Piwo nieco alkoholowe, szczególnie po ogrzeniu. Ciekawe piwo.

Clear, copper body, with a small, frothy, light beige head.
Aroma of grapefruit, pine, some resin, orange, peach, caramel.
Tastes of grapefruit, resin, pine, some pepper, orange, some caramel, slight roast, alcohol.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes bitter, pretty dry, piney, zesty, a bit alcoholic, a bit peppery, a bit malty.
Nice one, but nothing special. I like the nose, taste starts also nice, but gets pretty harsh towards the finish, with a quite overpowering dryness. Not my preferred style of a Double IPA, but not a bad beer.

500ml bottle at home shared with Saeglopur and Simay. BB 02/2016. amber hazy color, small white head. smells quite fruity, grapefruit, mango, a bit citric, herbs, light pines, some spices, some grass. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes sweet, fruity, grapefruit, citric, oranges, a bit sticky, candy, obvious malt backbone, some pines & grass, light herbs, spices, alcohol, some lemon grass, a bit peppery. finishes with grapefruity notes, some sweetness, dry and also a decent bitterness. Sweet and bitter notes not too well-integrated, also noticeable alcohol and dry / peppery. But overall I like it, good beer.

Barwa bursztynowa, klarowna, piana biała, drobna, dość obfita i koronkująca. W aromacie cytrusy, karmel, słodowość. W smaku dość słodkie, są cytrusy i owoce tropikalne, ale też obecna nuta ciemniejszych słodów, jednak smak dość płaski, trochę nijaki. Lekko czuć alkohol, wysycenie w porządku, goryczka do średniej maksymalnie, trochę krótka. Brakuje przede wszystkim jakiejś porządniejszej słodyczy, oraz nieco wyższej goryczki dla dobrej kontry. Jest to porządne piwo, z przyjemnymi nutami amerykańskich chmieli, jednak jak na Imperial IPA za mało robienia wrażenia. Dobra pijalność i nienajgorszy posmak, ale nie ma tego prawdziwie Imperialnego "pazura".

Bottle. Very pleasant DIPA, lots of caramel in the backbone, but otherwise heavily hoppy, high bitterness, fruity citrusy hops. Very good.

Bottle. Amber color with medium white head. Citrus hops, soapy notes in aroma. Caramel malt, citrus hops in taste. Alcohol is dangerously hidden. Long hoppy bitter finish. Good.

Butelka 0,5l termin ważności 07.11.2015 temp serwowania 10 stopni +, szkło teku. Aromat: słodowy, delikatnie karmelowy, słodkie przejrzałe owoce tropikalne (marakuja, liczi, mango), delikatny alk, żywica. Barwa: jasna miedź, klarowne. Piana: biała, obfita, gęsta, drobno pęcherzykowa, dziurawi się ale długo utrzymuje i pozostawia delikatny ślad na szkle. Smak: słodki delikatnie ziołowo-alkoholowy przełamany przez solidną grejpfrutową goryczkę, trochę zalegająca, wysycenie średnie do niskiego, pełnia średnia do wysokiej ale dzięki 81ibu i temperaturze piwa ok. 10 stopni niezwykle pijalne.

Amber colored beer with very nice and long head. Clear. Strong aroma of citruses, flowers, bubble gum. Hints of diacetyl and bee wax. Strong alcohol scent. Very high bitterness, medium to high sweetness. The body is mega thick. Frothy and oily texture (a mix of both). Much alcoholic.
