An authentic 100% malt brewed mild with a fine aroma of crystal malt and fuggles and challenger hops. Deep red in colour, the flavour is well balanced creating a popular session beer.

Cask gravity at Ealing BF, 6th July 2016. Pours amber brown that is thin but does stick around. Aroma is a strong straw and dung, taste is malt, grass and caramel. Not my favourite mild but decent enough.

Cask at The Claret, Addiscombe. It pours clear deep reddish - amber with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, brown bread, cereal, toffee, toasted grain and earth. The taste is smooth, malt - driven, cereal, light spice, brown bread, toasted grain and leather with a drying finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Not terribly exciting, but the great condition helps it along. OK.

Leeds Beer Festival 2015. Clear mid-brown coloured ale. Has some sweetness and a skunky aroma. Hops are evident and it has an easy-drinking texture. There’s some very light roasted malts in its taste.

10th April 2015: hand-pulled half-pint in the Sidings, Castletown Isle of Man. Nice looking brew, a red hue to the dark brown body, beige head. Malty and semi-sweet with a slightly more bitter finish: easy drinking Mild with enough flavour to make it worth finding and trying if you get the chance.
