A golden IPA wit a thick off white head. In aroma,a musky floral IPA with caramel malt. In mouth, a smooth pinhey hops with light citrus character, biscuitty malt, not bad. On tap at Knoxville Brewer’s Jam, Oct. 22 2011.

Draft. Deep gold body with fizzy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of citrus, flowers, grapefruit, toasted malt, bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Nice bitterness, but not so much as to mask the malt flavors in the background. And not so malty as to mute its crispness. Some peppery, earthy notes in the finish alongside the grapefruit. Excellent IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a fizzy but thin head and aromas of soapy hops, a little lemon, papaya (or something tropical) and some honey buns. Flavor is similarly nice, but the soap is a little bit of a detractor for me. Nice tropical and citrus hops with a little resin and a great honey sweetness from the malt. This was a bit of a surprise as I picked it up to fill in the last slot in a four pack holder without thinking too much about it, but it is the best of the evening.

12 oz, bottle got in a trade with Sledutah. Used a Weizen glass. Nose of floral hops, fresh grass and pine. Taste is a very nicely done classic IPA. A good example of the style and lightly bitter with some malt to balance the brew. How IPA’s used to be years ago before everyone went hop crazy. Nice with a good amount of drinkability. Taste: Pine, grapefruit with a light bitter finish

bottle at home 19Jan11pours hazy orange with a medium white head that grabs the glass and leaves streaky lacing all the way down. Aroma is huge citrus notes. Juicy wet hops, grapefruit, orange rind, some lighter honey floral notes as well. Flavor is creamy toasted malts, lots of sweet bread and crackers. Dry malts leading into an assertive pine and grass hop bitterness that is wonderfully dry and powerful. Really nice IPA.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ [ The Pool Tabel Tasting in Rome ].Clear medium orange color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, peach. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101220]

Bottle from Liz. Pours light amber with a decent foamy off-white head. Aroma is citrus/catpee. Med body; foamy carb. Flavor is light caramel backbone with a lot of citrus hop. It is just another IPA, but it’s also just another great tasting IPA. Need all of those we can get.
