15th July 2010. Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear gold beer, residual suddy head. Semi dry palate. Fresh orange accompanied by some bitterish marmalade. That’s about it but quite pleasant and drinkable. Finishes fairly dry with a lingering mild bitter aftertaste.

Cask at GBBF 08. Gold, lasting white head. Now that’s comforting, to have an English ale yeast again. Good nick, lovely hop. Bit of acidity. Aye, a decent golden ale but not as hoppy as the Brewer’s Gold.
