Cask. Black colour, small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, alcohol and some slight notes of marzipan and dark dry fruits. Flavour is very similar and also has some mild coffeeish and roasted notes. A bit burning as for the alcohol.

Bottle from Utobeer. It pours jet black with a thin fizzy tan head. The nose is soy sauce, sesame seed, marzipan, charcoal, smoke, tobacco and sea salt. The taste is caramel, charcoal, molasses, toast, sea salt, cherry, rice cracker, coffee, dark chocolate and coconut, with a dry roasty finish. It is well balanced and is medium to full bodied. A very drinkable and tasty imperial stout.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Jet black pour, tan head which doesn’t last long. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, woodsmoke, roasted malts. Flavours of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, dark fruits. The taste lingers on the palate with a very pleasant alcohol burn. Finishes dry with a faint dab of hops and smoke. Very nice.
