The Sonoran 200 is literally a step beyond extraordinary. Infused with Agave nectar that takes it to 19.37% alcohol, the beer has been oak-aged for almost a year on site. The result is a full bodied yet very round and smooth beverage (can it be called beer?) that is unlike anything you have ever tasted before—and that is one reason it is so hard to describe!

Dean Swift - RBESG Tasting. Cloudy amber beer, no head. Slightly dry palate. Sugar sweet with some toffee caramel. Some finky fruit underneath. Overall reminds me of a caramel pudding. Mild warmth in the finish, otherwise abv well hidden. A dessert beer if ever there was one and actually it’s pretty good! Extra points for uniqueness!

Bottle at RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting at The Dean Swift, London. Pours murky, golden-brown with a filmy head. Dark sugars and aged malts in the aroma. Ultra sweet flavor, light spices, caramel. Slight tingliness. Full bodied, a bit oily, with soft carbonation. Warm finihs, notes of brown sugar, perhaps light licorice, toffee. Excellent, unique stuff.

Bottle at RBESG Grand Tasting, held at Dean Swift. Aroma of sweet honey, lots of fruits: orange, peach, thinner. Oxidized. Amazingly sweet, fruity-ass flavor, tangy, with melon salad, sour edge. Annoyingly cloying and syrupy. Looks terrible. Cool bottle though.

bottle at the 2010 RBSG - This light amber, headless brew smells of agave and malt. It has a very sweet flavor with loads of agave nectar. There’s little to no carbonation in this very unusual brew. Did I mention that it’s sweet? It’s also good though, an enjoyable and fun brew to try that pushes the limits of what we call beer.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with no head. Has a fruity malty molasses aroma. Sweetish malty caramel and molasses flavor with some woody hints. Has a sweetish malty fruity caramel finish with some weak bitterness in the aftertaste.
