16th April 2010. Slightly hazy gold beer. Light semi dry palate. A little crisp. Sweetish pale malt gives way to dry hop. Reasonably fruity. Dry finish. Competant but dull!

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Hazy amber with a dense cream head; grainy aroma; smooth and sweet witrh a grainy flavour and touch of ginger; then a clean bitter finish. Unexceptional.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, mass JDW Tasting. Gold with a lasting off white head. Slightly sweet golden syrup aroma and a bit of freshly chopped wood too, which is odd. Sweet woody flavour carries on into the mouth and the malts are really a lot sweeter than I would expect. Finish has some dryness without any distinctive hop taste. Not a world beater at all and certainly not one of Rooster’s best. Their Outlaw beers tend to be better these days
