Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton.. Pours dark ruby with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. Malts and autumn fruits to the fore in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite sweet and fruity, but also slightly watery texture. Malts and autumn fruits prominent again with hints of ginger and parkin. Some fruitiness persists in the finish. This is decent enough.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber-brown with a beige head. Light fizz; good condition albeit served a little on the cold side. Berries and caramel with a little earthiness. Stewed plums. A little spice and dryness in the finish. Smooth and satisfying on a chilly day.

Hand-pulled pint in my local Wetherspoons on 13th October 2023. Red hue to the deep amber body, off-white crown. Malty with a Rye like aroma and initial taste, didn't take to it really, strange feel to the brew, I think it's the yeast culture they use at Milestone, it doesn't sit well with me.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A chestnut coloured pour with a tight beige head; fruity aroma; biscuity malt body with some plums and damsons; then a dry biscuity finish. A satisfying pint.

500ml bottle from Arrow Farm Shop near Worksop - Clear readdy amber body, no head. Rather flat body, didn’t help bring out the caramel and cake fruit notes. Sort of okay, but I’m sure in better nick it could notch a few more points.

Half pint, cask, served in a mug at Wm Hawkes. Yeah, it has got a dark ruby coloured body. Filmy layer, fair lacing. Brown malty smell, nutty. Brown malty flavours joined by moments of dried fruits. Malt bitterness to the ending. Satisfying (shared with Finn, Hull 26.11.2015).
