Tap @ Jabeerwocky, Warsaw. Dark brown pour almost black. Some brown foam there. Nose has some booze, aquavit level, liquid chocolate. Taste is boozy, quite so. Barrel vanilla and spices coming out more in the finish. Coconut. Quite intense, maybe a bit overdone, super boozy though. Light chocolate bitterness in the finish.

Flight at Jabeerwocky. Thin creamy tan head. Clear black pour. Lovely smooth bourbon notes. Very smooth.

Bottle. Color: Almost black, thin light brown head. Taste: Some roasted malt, strongly overwhelmed by the bourbon oak aging. Lightly vanilla and marzipan hints, strong notes of green apples, acetone, alcohol. Very little tasste from the base beer. Disappointing. Looking at the ratings, I wonder whether there are different batches from this beer? I absolutely don’t recognize any coffee or cocoa / chocolate in this beer.

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Black with khaki head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, woody bourbon and vanilla and then alcohol takes the lead. Charcoal. Big sweet, overpowering bitter and strong. Full body and soft carbonation. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with small beige head. Lots of flowery rum, bourbon, vanilla, licorice, alcohol, green apples, dusty, dark chocolate, light roast, marzipan. Over medium sweet and bitter. Almost full bodied with some alcohol. It has that dusty/woody/green apple stuff going in but it’s balanced and not overpowering. Nice.

Bottle. Black pour. Full aroma of bourbon booze, red fruit, caramel fudge, chocolate, oak and vanilla. Taste has thick caramel fudge, bourbon vanilla, oak, heavy booze, red fruit, chocolate and a bourbon forward boozy finish. Not very subtle, but extreme and bold, which I like in bourbon ba stouts. But I understand others might find this one too rough. I really like it though.

Tap@Uiltje TTO, Taphouse, Copenhagen (16/11/2017) - pours black with a beige covering. Dark malty with rich sweet and roasted action, notes of chocolate, some brown sugar, full body, oily mouthfeel, notes of wood, resonating bourbon led boozy warming malty close.

7 3 8 3 16 Draft at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of alcohol, booze, oak, bourbon, vanilla and chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with a fairly thick texture, noticeable alcohol and soft carbonation. Nice but just too fresh and alcoholic.
