12oz bottle pours a lightly viscous, translucent copper brown with zero head. Nose is malty, very grainy - like it was fermented with granola, whole grain bread. Flavor is mild, brown sugar, malts, grainy bread, oranges. Medium bodied, lightly watery finish. Much different than the 2002.

Bottle courtesy of Cletus: Poured a cloudy amber color ale with a small foamy head with good retention but minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some nice notes of dry figs and plums. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt that are well balanced and avoid any overly sweet notes with some complex notes of toffee and dry fruits. Light dry hoppy finish with no apparent alcohol. Body is quiet full with limited filtration and some low carbonation. Very well done but could be more complex in terms of palate.

Bottle. Copper color with no head. Sherry aroma with a bit of brown sugar and malt. Sherry flavors with a bit of stone fruit and caramel. LIngering fruity, sherry. Medium body. It’s aged well and can go a bit further (I enjoy a bit of oxidation in the barleywines). Good sipper.
