Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma is very flowery combined with notes of hops - like a meadow in summertime. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops combined with medium notes of spices and flowers, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

Bottle 500ml.Unclear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, hops, US-hoppy aroma ;O). Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101102]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of tdtm82. Pours a cloudy golden with a small, rough white head. Excellent aroma from the US aroma hops - peach and citrus. Medium body, sweet fruit and again great aromatic hops leaving a solid hop bite. This is amost APA territory. An excellent quaffer. 021110

Cask, handpump at The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury 28.08.10 Pours gold with a white head, looks great. This is another pub that is totally packed with Morris Rappers who decide to dance in front of me spinning around at brakeneck speed, mmhhh.. rating is really very difficult in such conditions. The beer though s quite wonderful fruity, some tropical fruits a little perfume on the nose, lovely curly hoppiness my favourite of the day. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9

Cask at cask pub and kitchen, Pimlico, London. A golden coloured pour with a small white head. The most appaling aroma of any beer that I have ever had, sweat and toilets, yuck! Tastes somewhat similar 9not that I have tasted sweat and toilets) Hint of hops, grapefruit, malt. Maybe there was something very wrong with this beer, I couldn’t finish it. I’ll stick to their excellent Amarillo as the other Crouch Vale beers are unimpressive.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 19th August 2010. Clear gold with foraming white head quick to reduce to a ring. Invitingly hoppy scent; grass and citric kick with savoury touches. Long, satisfyingly rich hoppy finish and a zingy, saline mouthfeel. Wholly exquisite.

13th August 2010. On tap at the Market Porter. Thanks to Ang (reakt) for getting me on to this. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light semi dry palate, a little crisp. Nice spritzy grapefruit fruity bitterness - very well judged. A little creamy malt coming through at the end. Very very drinkable - could have easily sunk a few of these. Nice one Crouch Vale - keep it up!
