Bottle shared with me by Fred82, thank you!
Jet black pour, very small mocha head.
Big aroma of smoked malts, cocoa, soy sauce, and thick burnt coffee and burnt malts. The smokiness really lends itself well to the intense roast, and there is a nice semi sweet, almost lactic quality that emerges in the finish. Very nice effort, as per usual from this brewer.

Poured from 500mL bottle (bottled 12/16/2016 - 2016 Wine and Bourbon version, 9% abv). Very dark brown with small tan head. Nose has a fairly sour smoked malt note, iodine, slightly vinous. Taste adds chocolate to the sour smoke and vinous notes, very feint bourbon on the finish. The nose is verging on a slight oxidation, but the taste is solid. Quite nice.

Bottle thanks to Jeremy. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong oak, roast, smoke, raisin, licorice. Slick body, peat, smoke, roast, dark chocolate, oak, bitter finish, very good.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with black chocolate notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes is quite exquisite. Taste is also a mix roasted malt, black chocolate with some bourbon, vanilla notes with oak and subtle smoked presence. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation with no overly apparent alcohol notes. Quite the complex porter with great drinkability level.

Thanks Brennan for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing amber brown with thin translucent rims and sparse white foam lacing. The nose shows strong notes of oak barrel, smoke, molasses, and sweet raisin. The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Strong flavors of smoke with an oak and lightly tannic wine background followed by a moderately coffee bitterness.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out smoked malt, with light bourbon, and a touch of vinous notes. Flavour is similar, with smoked malt, light bourbon, and some red wine tannins. Nicely balanced, with a smoky finish. Very good.

12/6/16 bottling. Dark brown. There's a smokey aroma, with a subtle bourbon note, a compelling dark malt sweetness, toast, On the palate, again it leads with smoke, and sweet brown sugar, with dark chocolate accents. There's a good body, and it finishes with sugars, red wine and alcohol.

Bottle - Bourbon and red win notes come through with some dark malts. Jet brown with a small beige head. Subtle barrel, coconut and dark malt notes. Very elegant and subtle. Well done.
