Cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s malts and butter in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture but a little watery. Malts to the fore alongside cola with hints of nuts and liquorice coming later. Finish is a little fruity. This is reasonable.

Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Quite a bland aroma - some malts. Light-medium chestnut. Thin bubbly head. Light bitter. Some chocolate, coffee and malts. Gains some spice as I gulp it down. Medium-thivk bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat carb. A touvh of astringent to the finish. OK. Pretty bland but then quite solid in terms of body and texture. Like an underpowered stout.

Cask at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Pours clear russet-brown with a fine, creamy beige head. Pleasant aroma with lightly aged berries and touches of brown bread. Light sweet flavor with lightly toasted malts and grains, hints of dusty cocoa, mild leafy bitterness, leathery berries. Light jodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced to finish with fruity and bready sweetness, and offsetting dry leafy bitterness. Decent.
