Draft/Fest. A- Oak, butterscotch. A- Amber color, cloudy liquid, off white head. T- Butterscotch, complex. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Really tasty. The butterscotch and a bit of oak are about all that really stand out, but it’s easy to drink and nicely balanced.

Sampled at festival. Dry and bitter, some alcohol and there are hops as well. One of the more dry barleywines I have had in a long time. Aftertaste is dry with more alcohol.

Bottle, 75cl, at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. A brown one, almost clear, with a minimal sized off-white head. There’s caramel, dried fruits, some alcohol, pine cones, fluor tooth paste, mint notes and a faint roasted hint in the aroma. Full body, lightly warming and with a pleasant carbonation. There’s not much impact from the booze, neither in the aroma nor in the flavor. Lasting finish with a good bitterness. Wow, first Nebraska beer and it’s this good. Amazing. 130817
