On tap at Murray’s in Manly, April 2013. Hazy orange with a slight, off-white head. Big, hoppy aroma with grapefruit, orange and pine. Full-bodied, with more citrus fruit, biscuity malts, and some marmalade sweetness, before a dryish finish with a touch of prickliness. Enjoyable.

Hazy deep amber beer. Tidy white head. Creamy malt nose with a trace of caramel. Light palate, fluffy with fine carbonation. Nice caramel malt background. Nicely balanced hops that start sweet and piney but morph into bitter grapefruit. Semi dry finish with a mild bitter linger. Good stuff.

Bottle from GBBF 2011. It pours hazy deep orange-gold, with a thick white head. The nose is orange citrus fruits (particularly mango), pine, orange sherbet and creamy. The taste is sweet orange, zesty tangerine, tangy marmalade, sherbet, resin, pine, big bitterness, leather, oily hop, spice and light alcohol warmth, with a tangy citrus-dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A well balanced, high drinkable, zesty double IPA.

(Bottle) Poured hazy copper with good off-white head. Beautiful delicate aroma of flowers and tangy fruit. Medium body with full carbonation. The flavour has a well balanced start with malt and caramel complementing refreshing citrusy notes. This start moves rapidly to a strong, but pleasant, bitter hop finish that stays around. Overall a great IPA, but a bit too heavy on the hops for my taste.

From a 330ml bottle on 5/12/2010. Has a big fruity (lots of lychee), floral, piney hop aroma. Starts with sweet caramel malt, followed by an array of fruits, particularly ornage, passionfruit and grapefruit. Has an appropriately long and firm hop kick. An excellent IPA, let down only by the carbonation, which is a little excessive for my liking. Great to see an Aussie brewer making a beer with this much character.

Bottled, thanks baggio! Hazy pale amber, rich firm head. Aroma of sweaty grapefruit and gooseberry. Very sweet, bit fruity, near full bodied with dense mouthfeel. Cookie malt and orange marmelade. Growing late bitterness. Nice tropical fruit flavours, but too sweet.
