Bottle. Murky dark brown color, massive brownish beige head. Aroma of licorice, tar, chocolate, coffee. Taste of intense licorice. Ya gotta like licorice to do this one.

Bottled, 0.5l. Dark brown color with small frothy brown head, lively carbonation and malt / yeast residue. Aroma of caramel, coffee, chocolate, hops and liquorice. Flavor starts with sweet chocolate, caramel and coffee notes, then followed by sour fruitiness, while finish is medium hoppy. Medium body, creamy texture and low carbonation in palate. Good for the dessert, a bit plain for a beer...

Vattning men ändå söt. Speciell karaktär, höjer till 4,2p.

On draught on Copenhagen beer festival 2012. A creamy stout with a perfect mix of chocolate, caramel/toffee and liquorice. Nice!

Bottle 50cl. Pours black with a huge beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, liquorice with some chocolate and coffee. Sweet with a slightly dry finish. Quite nice, but not too exciting.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 17 Feb 2012) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of milky coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Roasted, malty taste with liquorice (more evident than in the aroma), coffee, dark bread and a slightly sweet finish with a gentle coffee bitterness. Medium body. Nice and tasty, with a generous sweet liquorice character.

Bottle consumed with Gazza and my dad 01.09.11, quite sure that I got this in Denmark and very probably from Fonefan, cheers Jan if this is the case, but sorry that I can’t remember for certain. Pours very dark brown with light beige head. Mmmhh.. this is just too much on the liquorice front, and a coating of burnt charcoal on the tongue also. It’s not bad but it really is a one trick pony but at least it isn’t too sweet. It’s ok. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottled. Near black, small head. Sweet licorice. Sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Loads of sweet licorice .Shallow character, but quite interesting.
