Flaske(Dank an Jonas!): Deep brownish-amber coloured with a mid-sized tanned head, milk chocolate, cacao, dried fruits and toasted malt in the bitter-sweet nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, pretty soft; lingering sweet-bitter finish, same flavours as in the nose with more distinctive traces of liquirice. Really good…

Skummet forsvant fort.

Bottle. Muddled black, low brown head. Coffeeground roast and liquorice aroma. Salty roast coffee, chocolate and salmiac - gets nice and liquoricy as it warms up. Medium light salty body, slightly sticky dry. Black liquorice and chocolate aftertaste. Interesting.

Bottle shared with (and great courtasy of) the Bergen Tasting Crew. Has a deep reddish brown colour and a beige medium head. Aroma of licorice, coffee, lactose, dark chocolate and prunes. Sweet milk stout-like flavour with licorice, wood, dried fruit, leather and dark chocolate in the end. Has a silky mouthfeel, and a light to medium bitterness. A beer that gets better for every sip. A good sweet stout with a nice touch of licorice.

Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, Göteborg, during "Porterveckan 2012". I had a "galopp" size. Then one more galopp since I had bought one to a friend that left, haha. On November 25, 2012.Black color, tan head. Sweet, wort scent. Sweet, malty taste. Licorice aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.6/3/7/4/14=3.4

Smell of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa. Very dark brown, dark brown creamy head. Roasted, medium bitter with aftertaste tending to sweetness. Aroma of cocoa, tar, roast, licorice comes through afterwards. Soft, yet lively carbonation. Oily, almost viscous. Very nicely balanced.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Clear dark brown with a small head. Not as much licorice as expected. Chocolate, roasted malt and some spices. The body was on the light side.
