Bären Zwickl

Growler picked up directly from the brewery Sunday 30th August 2026 a brewery opening day, poured into growler straight from the tank. Pours hazy yellow, large clean white head, it looks very good. There's a little fresh bread but also some vanilla and a little floral touch. Taste is smooth, soft mouthfeel, lovely carbonation, light prickly. Taste following a similar trajectory, a little fruit and cereal, hoppiness is very gentle but this has hugely drinkabilty, possibly my favourite Bucher Brau beer. Score:7.8

500 ml bottle. Unclear golden with a fluffy head. Mostly grain and bread, pale malt, light citrus and wine grapes. Mild dry bitterness, grainy sweetness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry grainy bready finish.

Scheint wohl Ende 2020 neu ins Programm gekommen zu sein. So neu, dass es (obwohl schon längst in den Geschäften zu kaufen) erst im März 21 überhaupt auf der Webseite des Herstellers zu finden war. Florale Noten sind bestimmend, getreidige ergänzen, fruchtige lassen sich noch erahnen. Eher mild gehopft, trotzdem stets präsent. Ungefiltert hat das Bier ein kleines bisschen mehr Volumen als das normale Bucher Helle. Bleibt aber trotzdem sehr deutlich auf der süffigen Seite, ohne wässrig zu sein. Ein gutes Zwickl.
