Brown with a tan head. Deep, toffee aroma with touches of molasses and prunes. Taste is is sweet with with a mild oak bitterness and lingering notes of plum brandy. Body to the full side of medium, very mild carbonation, chewy. Pleasant sipping.

Creamy off white head on a dark brown coloured body.
Malt, nutty & boozy aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth with a lighter clean back.
Toffee, sarsaparilla, liquorice & sweet fruity tastes with a peppery finish.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 30.10.2026) im 2025-02 getrunken. Diese dunkelbraune Bier mit deutlichen Malz- und Schokoladenaromen ist ein klassischer Dunkler Bock. Aber das war auch schon - alle sehr klassisch aber leider irgendwie mit einen dünnen Körper was die bisherigen Blockbräu Senatsböcke der letzten Jahre nicht hatten.

Drunk perhaps a bit late, in July, but the strong ones survive at least that long. Dark brown, moderate short lived tan head. Slightly sweet and roasty nose, pretty mild. Flavor is rather sweet, light molasses and brown sugar, slightly woody finish with mild hopping for this level of sweetness. Pretty traditional for the style I suppose.

Rötliche-dunkelbraune Farbe; grobporige wenig stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr malzig, Bitterschokolade und Espresso. Im Geschmack kräftig mit vollem Körper, malzig, Kaffee und dunkle Schokolade, mittlere Bittere, trocken mit leichter Süße. Insgesamt sehr rund.

Flasche 0,33l: Kastanienbrau/schwarz, leichte Trübung, stabiler beiger mittelporiger Schaum; kräftig würzige Nase, dunkle würzige Süße, kräftige Röstaromen, kräftig Malz, geröstetes Getreide, dunkles Karamell, nussig, etwas Vanille, malzig-würzige Bitterkeit; würziger Körper, Röstmalz, dunkles Karamell, Toffee, Vanille, cremig, moderate Kohlensäure, Röstaromen, Muckefuck, dunkle Schokolade; malzig-würziger Nachgang

0,33 l bottle. It´s time to open it. Their Maibocks are already in the house ... BB Oktober 2026. Dark redbrown in the glass, small one finger foamy light tanned head. Malty nutty aroma, with some choco. Smooth. Taste is more intensive on the hazelnut side with light toasted malt. Some choco and wood elements with caramel. Blockmalz.Soft bitterhop. Hidden alcoholic. Nice one.

Süffiger, röstig-karamelliger Beginn. Etwas brotig, Schokolade, wässriger Hintergrund. Spritzig, mittellanger Abgang, ok. 9/10/9/9/7/9
