A 500ml winter warmer from Cotteridge Wines, best before Nov 21, pours clear yellow with the smallest head possible with next to no life in the body. Aromas & tastes of orange, lemon, apricot, caramel, toffee & bread. Moderate body. Long light bitter finish. Disappointing

Bottle delivered by the Blue Boar, Leicester, and drunk at home. Golden and hazy with a small creamy white head. Light aroma: some raisin, apricot, bready malt. Taste has a chalky bitter edge to it after the very initial malty sweetness.Bitter hops cling to the back of the tongue through to the long finish. A touch of apricot in the aftertaste. Carbonation is fairly heavy. it isn't bad but I was hoping for a bit more.

Tried at BeerHeadZ, Lincoln. Clear golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma malty caramel and light sweet. Quite subtle for a barley wine. Light sweet, and smooth, with a full body.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - bright orange with a generous head. Actually a bit of a gusher. Nose - sherbet a bit too much, but there are citrus hops in there too. Then light funky. Taste - oranges, actually going into burnt oranges. Palate - medium to full bodied with a tangy texture and a dry but slightly too fizzy, eluding to a wild yeast issue. Overall - is this a barley wine? But there’s a wild yeast issue.

500ml bottle thanks to Ashton McCobb. Gusher! Pours coat golden with a massive rocky head. Aromas of sherbet, probably a bit of wild yeast. Taste is oranges, marmalade, funk again. Too fizzy. Sweet finish.

Cask at GBBF 2014 - London. Day 1. Pours clear gold with a lasting creamy off-white head. The nose holds citrus rind, marmalade, leaves, bread. Medium sweet flavor with pale bread, slight minerals, sand, chlorine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with light alcohol notes, dry bread, citrus. OK.
