Gravity cask at the St Neots ’Booze on the Ouse’ Beer Festival 2016. Light honey brown, with some loose off-white head. Muted aroma of soft citrus, biscuity malt and more than a hint of tamarind. Malt is more prominent in the front of the taste, with a sweet, chewy and almost savoury character. The end of the sip brings a long dry earthy bitterness. Not the most exciting style, but Oakham manage to stir things up a bit.

Cask gravity at the London drinker fest 2016. Sample. Out of retirement. Clear golden orange coloured pour. Aroma is pale grains, slight citrus lemon, leafy hop, hints of caramel. Flavour I’d composed of semi sweet biscuit and caramel malts, nice English yeast esters , leafy citrus and berry hop. Palate is medium bodied, nice cask condition. Good stuff.
