Helles pale lager. Hopped with a combination of British First Gold and Hallertau Perle, Freedom Four has an initial sweetness that slides into a hoppy bitter finish. Mid-weight body and great smoothness ensure it’s easy-drinking, while lively natural carbonation refreshes through to a crisp finish.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Decent lager aroma. Some decent lemon on the flavour. I thought a very drinkable helles. Very drinkable, very good lemon and hops. Good.

This is golden coloured. It’s a clean but rather bland malty lager. Rather too gassy.

Keg @ Masons Arms, Todmorden. Yellow-blonde with a small bubbly head. Lots of carbonation and fizz on the palate but poor taste and texture with a light malt nose being its best characteristic.

Pint at The Salopian bar, Shrewsbury. Distinctly average lager, not too much taste, fairly bland.. Grassy, straw with a weak aftertaste. Have had better beers from these guys.

Bottled (from AbM). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is quite genuine of mild salt water, some grainy and grassy notes along with some bread. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some floral and mild British like bitterness to it.
