Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800’s with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

This lager poured a cloudy light yellow colour with a bright white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of corn, metal, cooked veggies and dough. First swig was smooth with a decent amount of hopp flavour. Slightly bitter with flavours of spruce, grass and hay? Finish was slightly bitter with prucy hopps lasting. Very surprized this one has such a low percentile. If they could remove the metal in the bouquet, it would be much better.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber. Light noble hop aroma. Flavor is very mild roast malt with grassy hop. Finishes nicely bitter.

12oz bottle. Hazy thin yellow-white color. Patchy, soapy head. Mellow inoffensive golden malt aroma. Clean mouthfeel, very refreshing. Mild malt sweetness and a nice crisp hop balance. Light bodied, but enjoyable enough for what it is. Not really a traditional lager in my opinion, more like an improved upon macro lager taste. Not so exciting but mellow and easy.

Bottle: Light, bubbly golden color with a finger of creamy white head. Light nose is florals and malt... not bad. Tastes again floral and malty, but a little cardboardy in the end. Still, a premium lager? Better than the BMC alternatives.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy pale yellow golden with a medium creamy white head that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet malt with clove and wheat. The taste is a crisp sweet malt with a clean finish. Easy to drink, a decent premium lager from Tommyknocker.

Pour is a clear yellow with an average white head. Aroma is a small amount of sweet malts. Flavor is more of a grassy with almost no hop profile. I don’t know what the difference between a premium lager and a regular pale lager but both are pretty bland.

Clear looking. Mediocre smelling and tasting. Pretty much a pale lager with a little bit more flavor, but not much better quality. Some citrus and grass.
