Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800’s with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Bottled. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready malt, some slight sweetness, mild floral and grassy notes along with some doughlike notes as well. Flavour is rather similar, but also has some slight nutmeg like notes to it. Gets a bit more body as it warms up a bit from being fridgecold.

Backlog, from notes. On tap @ the brewpub in Phoenix, AZ, 16 May 2001. Golden color. Aroma’s: somewhat sweet, malty/grainish. Flavor is light malty sweet. Finishes with a mild bitterness. Not exciting, but with 104 degrees outside it went down well.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a gold hue an an off-white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma is musty with grains and grass that is backed by a bit of crispness. Flavor is grassy up front with a musty grain backing. Nothing special.

4.6%. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Dry malt. Mild fresh orange and then a little grapefruit. Finishes dry and fresh. There is a nice flavour here but the beer is stupidly dry.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel and grassy hops. Taste is very light bitter. Grassy hops and caramel malt. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and decently long finish. Overall, not bad. I’ll drink this one but wouldn’t seek it out.

355ml bottle from Utobeer. Hazy old gold colour with lasting white head. It’s an ok lager, quite drinkable I thought, good cereal fullness in the mouth. Touch of stale chaff. Good mouthfeel. If I had a regular lager like this in Ashford I’d be buggeringly delighted. I liked this. Drinkable
