Dry-hopped with Cascade hops in our open fermenters, our IPA boasts a bright floral aroma and flavor reminiscent of pine and lemon peel. The pronounced hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-bodied caramel and biscuity malt character with a nutty finish. It showcases many subtle earthy bitter notes, rather than the resinous citrus-rind bite often featured in many American-style IPA’s. Silver medal winner in the Classic English-Style Pale Ale category at 2015 GABF.

Dark ornage pour, and man dos this foam up! doesn’t seem to matter how slowly you pour this, you will have half a glass of head. Decent citrucy aroma, nice malt profile. Same for the flavor, but overall this wasn’t exceptional, just a basic IPA, nothing out o this world, and actually its kinda on the low end of IPA’s, a little lacking.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy golden color with a finger and a half’s worth of white frothy head. Sly lace.
The aroma had a bright citrusy hop burst over some earthy hop bitterness. Light leafy dryness with a little bit of floral to herbal character.
The flavor dryly leaned towards the sweet side in a malty sort of way. Hop tones seem a bit dispersed to allow the malt base become a bit sturdier and run throughout the aftertaste. Slight malty sort of finish.
The feel was almost medium bodied with a good carbonation about it. ABV felt as appropriate. Fairly smooth along my tongue.
Overall, seemed more of an English styled IPA to me and came across pretty clean and would be well done if that’s what Arcadia intended.

This ale poured a medium red colour with a foamy white head. Scents include citrus hops, olives, dill and leather. First sip was smooth with flavours of lemon citrus, dill and honey. Finish is medium bitter with the cirus hops lingering.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/6/2014. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, toast, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, bready malt, and fruity yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, toast, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness. Good amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, pine, floral, grass, toast, biscuit, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Good complexity and balance of citrus/pine hops, bready malt, and fruity yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good English IPA. All around good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, bready malt, and fruity yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle: Pours hazy orange/amber with a small, off-white head. Breadheel, caramel, earthy hop aroma. Taste is subdued, lightly peppery/earthy hop bittering..caramel malt, florals. Pretty good...nothing exciting, but fairly solid.

Cloudy gold beer, little white head. Soft dry palate. Grapefruit orange but with chalky seltzer minerals. Soft and dry and finish. Bitterish aftertaste. Okay but too dry.

On tap at Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn. It pours hazy amber-orange with low carbonation and a thin foamy white head. The nose is tangy orange, mango, apricot, physalis, grass, hay and a little farmyard. The taste is orange, apricot, mango, pineapple. wood and resin, with a smooth, tangy finish. This is an easy-drinking session beer.
