Thanks to Jsquire for this. Huge off white peaks of merengue top this medium amber beer. Soft pine aroma. The flavor stays towards the bitter side from start to finish yet never becomes assertive or overpowering. A possible dissappointment for hop heads will be a perfect IPA for some. Light, some would say thin, body with a dry finish.

I got this one in my beer club. I have never heard of the brewer before. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bronze color with a small tan head. The aroma is strong, bitter and grapefruity. The flavor is light malt, a hint of nut and strong sour grapefruit. The flavor fades a bit weakly on the finish. A decent IPA but nothing special.

Hazy medium amber with a small head- too small for an IPA. Hefty floral scent- smells very delicious! tastes a lot like it smalles, but a bit too malty. I’d prefer less malts and more hops, with the same flavor undertones. I do enjoy this beer...

2003 bottle. Bright coppery-orange color, with some light red and yellow tinges. Head had a reddish-orange tint to it that was quite unique. Lots of it, and moderate lacing. Sediment left in the glass. Aroma is VERY floral; perfumy, lightly phenolic almost. Orange blossoms in there too. Flavor immediately is full of chewy hops. Light pine, light orange but mostly a bitter floral flavor. Bitterness is not overdone but very detectable. Mouthfeel is fluffy, almost creamy. Slightly more than medium body. Big dose of medium-dry caramel malt comes through halfway in and plays with the orange flavor quite well. Finish comes as close to being as astringent without actually being so as I’ve tasted. Nicely bittered, with some earthy/tree-sap dry notes. I found myself swirling the beer around in my mouth every drink; surprisingly complex. Wow. I will certainly try again. Aftertaste is flowery, lightly bitter and wonderfully lasting. 2004 on tap. Flavor was not quite as exciting as I remember, though it still had a nice spicy complexity.
2004 bottle Had a very fresh bottle, which proved to be both highly flavorful, and well-balanced, but there’s a bit of a lack of complexity. I can’t figure this beer out.

Re-rate. Hazy medium orange body, dense medium off-white head. Nose of floral, medicinal hops with light bubblegum and biscuit. Hoppy body, spicy and floral, somewhat leafy, with light bubblegum, backed by bready malts. Underrated IPA.

Part of and Arcadia sampler: This is a decent IPA but really doesn''t compare to some of the better ones I have had lately (Ruination, 90 Minute etc). Dark murky orange/copper color with a thin off-white head. Very thin lacing. Aroma was somewhat hoppy (are those fuggles?) with a little citrus. Flavor was hoppy with a light malt balance and a light toasty finish. While on the weak side there was really nothing offensive going on here. This would probably be a good starter IPA.
