A big fan of this one! Copper gold in colour with pine, grapefruit and floral elements to the nose. Pine resin and citrus rind hops get your immediate attention, but they are ably balanced by the presence of substantial bready malt and burnt caramel aspects. The mouth feel is very rich which helps moderate the slightly astringent bitter aftertaste. This bites like a Stone product! Very unusual magnitude to this Double IPA for an Ontario micro beer. Well done! (postScript Oct. 2015). This new batch has a less vibrant taste profile, with both the hops and the malt greatly moderated.

been wanting to try this one for a long time! medium orange pour, hazy, and it looks thick. sticky off white head. HUGE aroma of citric floral hops, and a light cedar soapiness. the flavor is just a pallet thrasher! all hops, all the time! long lingering bitter finish. Easily the best IPA Ontario has ever seen.

This Imp IPA poured a cloudy, deep yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include faint fruit and hay. First swig was not quite as bitter as expected from a 83 IBUs. Flavours of slightly ripe pear, hay and slightly sweet malt. Finish is bitter and lingering.

Tap at the brewery. Amber colored with a fruity stone fruit hop bouquet. Medium bodied balanced with fresh citrus and enough malt sweetness to make it solidly drinkable. Not complex but well made. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from LCBO. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of floral hops, lime chutney and caramel. Flavour of orange peel, grass and a peppery finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Very hoppy but lacking definition.
