500ml Bottle conditioned: a present from my son, the last of four beers from this brewery he gave me earlier this year. Gusher, all over the bloody place, still pouring it’s self all over the draining board even as I write this, some foam got into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 25th Nov 2015. Murky brown with a red hue to the body, the foam a tanned fountain of bubbles. Malty and fairly sweet, a slight bittering in the finish. I might have liked this if it hadn’t erupted all over the dining room tablecloth, making me leap up and rush into the kitchen to drink what was left.

Bottle at home shared with Lyoli. Cloudy amber pour with a weak, white head. Strong caramel and toffee notes in the aroma. Interesting flavor, pretty sweet, bready, nutty, some prunes maybe, and leafy bitters. Medium in body with average, fizzy carbonation. Finish is kinda weird too. Not bad, but has some uncommon characteristics. More bread and nuts with some fruits and caramel. Decent.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Reddish brown ale. A bit monotone! Dry and crisp. Fairly bitter finish. Improved a little by pouring some of the sediment in but overall an average beer.
