Hazy amber beer. Little white head. Light palate, a little crisp and a little dry. A trace of toffee malt on the nose. Soft toffee malt, a trace of pear and aniseed. Creamy dry malt. Nicely joined up, a deft little beer from Pitfield.

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Amber, haze, lsting beige head. Some kinda spice on aroma. Decent. Odd, but ok.

(Bottle 50 cl) Lovely, clear chestnut brown beer with a small, off-white head. Slightly roasted aromas. Lots of roasted malt in the flavour - even burnt perhaps? Lots of caramel with a somewhat burnt, dry, bitter finish. 250705

A dark amber beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but it also has hints of dust. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and yeast, as well as something I can’t put a name on, but it tastes nice. The end is dry.

Yellow-brown head, gone in seconds; dark brown beer with amber-orange rims. Weird initial nose of honey and blue soft cheese, going over in cheesy hops, blueberries and flowery. Outspoken ultra-dry cardboard and chalk flavours, ending quite bitter, indeed like chewing on a cardboard box (imprinted?). There’s a sweeter, chocolate-like undercurrent. Medium bodied, not really thin, but quite flat. Weird. Strengthens my conviction that papier-maché is not eligible for my artistic ambitions.

Bottled. Nut brown. Fruity bubblegum aroma. Intensely aromatic. Clean, rounded mouthfeel. Notes of coffee, plums and lingonberry jam. Dusty bitter tobacco finish. Controversial and flavourful. I loved it, but would understand anyone that hates it.
